In Store Equipment Repair

Info Verification

All computers must be signed into the Reality Bytes work order system prior to customer leaving the equipment.  All customer address, contact info and billing information must be verified prior to sign in of equipment.

 

Diagnostic

All equipment will be given a basic diagnostic unless you waive this procedure.  A software & hardware diagnostic will be performed and a full price quotation will be provided.  Should you decide to procede with the repair, the diagnostic fee will be applied to the cost of the repair.

 

Client Data

Should you want to keep your data files you need to inform the RBI staff prior to sign in of equipment.  In this case, we will perform a COMPLETE backup of the computer hard drive prior to start of work, and will restore your data once work is complete.  Data will be retained on our secure tech/repair systems for a period of 15 days post work completion to ensure no possibility of data loss.  Please inform our staff if any files are missing and we will arrange to restore the data from our backups.  We cannot guarantee your data will be stored longer than 15 days as we purge client data as space is required for future jobs.

 

Work Completion

Average PC repairs are 1-3 business days, however a rush repair can be requested.  Once we have fully repaired your PC, we will contact you for pickup.  Equipment that is abandoned for longer than 60 days will be disposed of or recycled.  If you are not able to retrieve your equipment right away, please contact our staff immediately and we will arrange to store the equipment as per your requirements.

 

Payments

All equipment must be paid in full prior to pickup or delivery.  Any exceptions or payment extensions must be discussed or arranged PRIOR to work start.
